When enabled, Planner is a module allowing you to connect teams, objectives and the request for additional workforce with an articulation of what is needed to enable outcomes.Planner uses supply teams (aka chapters) as a centralised location to review the people in your chapters against the requests for workforce changes based on a clear rationale of what is driving the asksupporting cadenced workforce planning requests and approvals cycles. Using teams as a centralised perspective, Planner connects people, objectives and requests for workforce change.
Articulation of clear rationale or what skills are needed to enable outcomes can be captured along each demand for workforce changes.
Why do we need Planner?
During a planning cycle, Planner provides the ability for demand leads (sometimes called Delivery Leads, or Domain Leads) to raise requests for the required capabilities to deliver on their upcoming committed delivery and specify the specific skill set that they seek. It also provides the supply leads such as Chapter Leads a central place to review and approve all the requests of their people and hence have an informed prioritisation conversations and alignment of resource availability. This module allows demand and supply leads to enter the forecasted full time equivalent amounts, skills and other notes per chapter.
