How to change team type(s)?

New Feature: Change Team Types

TeamForm recently introduced a new feature that can be configured to allow power and admin users to be able to change team types .

It is not recommended to change a team from supply to demand or vice versa as this often causes unintended complications, so for now only change teams within the same category (supply, demand or does not participate).

If Change Team Types isn’t visible, you may need to reach out to your TeamForm Customer Support contact to enabled it via the Flag name: enableChangeTeamType (This feature will be generally rolled out over time)

Step-by-Step Guide: Changing Team Types

  1. Go to the team (eg: Chapter Area/Chapter/Crew/Tribe/squad) home page that needs a change in type

  2. Click on the action menu (3 dot menu on the top right of the team header

  3. Select change team and then proceed to make the change(s).

You can change a direct team and the next level of teams below it. If you want to change more than 2 layers of teams you will need to change them in stages or use the Team CVS integration to bulk change types.

You can see the invalid team type combinations that also need updating. Once they are re-configured you can proceed to choose update type.

No valid team type options

Depending on how your TeamForm administrator has configured team types and the possible combinations it is likely that you may not be able to choose a new team type. If you believe that to be incorrect contact your TeamForm administrator to discuss the configuration.
