NEW FEATURE IMPROVEMENT

September 2024

  • ALLOCATIONS WITH DATES Users can now enhance the allocation of people to teams with clear start date and end dates for each individual.

    • Previously it was difficult to determine the exact time a person joined or left a team - changes to allocations would typically occur on the day that the user made the change. We're happy to announce that these limitations are now things of the past with our new Allocation with Dates feature.

    • We provide sensible defaults to make data entry easy: when adding a new allocation, the start date is set to today with an ongoing end date, and FTE is set to the remaining FTE the person has available to fill. An allocation can be ended with the click of a button, and our powerful new hierarchical teams search feature makes finding teams to allocate into a breeze.

    • We've also created a timeline view to make it easy to see every team a person is has been allocated to over time, and when looking at a team you can see people coming in and out of the team over time.

    • We have completely revamped the way we store information about allocations. Each change to a allocation is now stored with a start date and end date, along with the user making the change, and the time that the change was made. We've kept the system open so that users can freely adjust everything about allocations in the past or the future, so it is important to be tracking changes on a fine grained level.

  • SEARCH

    • Users can now search for results within a team hierarchy using the a contextual scoped search. When a scoped search is active the scope is displayed in the header search bar.

    • Advanced search filtering allows users to specify on what fields a search applies. For instance user can search only on the surname of people, or only on a particular type of a team on a team search.

  • PLANVIEW - OBJECTIVES As part of our on going focus on making integration seamless when it comes to objectives and work, we have made our PlanView integration even more flexible so that you can use your regional PlanView API address for integration. This will help empower customer admins to self service in the future.

  • STRATEGY - TIME TRAVEL You can now show your strategy, outcomes and work over time using the point in time view. This will allow you to “travel back in time” to see how linkages and objects change over time. We are keen to understand if this is valuable for you and look forward to your feedback.

  • STRATEGY - EXTERNAL IDS You can now include external team IDs when importing objectives / OKRs into TeamForm, previously this only worked for internal IDs. This is a small but important change where we source OKRs / Work from other tools and those tools use an external identifier.

  • STRATEGY AND WORK It is now possible for a simple filter at a per team type level to filter out certain types of objectives and work. This helps reduce with visual overload.

August 2024

  • OBJECTIVES IN PLANNER

    • Enhanced the linking process for objectives within Planner, making it more intuitive and user-friendly.

    • Introduced filtering options for objective types, allowing users to easily manage and focus on specific objectives.

    • Added the ability to toggle between imported objectives and linked objectives, providing greater control and flexibility.

  • PLANVIEW INTEGRATION Now available; scheduling feature for the Planview integration. This enhancement ensures seamless and timely synchronization with Planview, reducing manual intervention and improving overall efficiency.

  • SEARCH Optimized the global search functionality. These improvements deliver a smoother and more responsive search experience.

  • UI ENHANCEMENTS We have refined the Actions menu and tooltip components to improve their layering and visibility. This update ensures that these elements appear correctly and consistently across the app.

  • STRATEGY LIST VIEW

    • Added a column to display associated teams, providing better visibility and organisation of your strategies.

    • Added a column showing the status of related Jira issues, allowing for easier tracking.

    • The Strategy Type badge has been repositioned closer to the Strategy Name for improved readability.

    • Implemented UI changes to the table structure in the list view to offer a more streamlined and user-friendly experience

July 2024

  • VACANCIES Enhancement to vacancies logic to provide a wider range of customer workflows. Previously filled vacancies can now be reopened when desired as part of a customer’s requisition process, such as when a candidate does not successfully onboard. Additional vacancies can be set to expire if the filled date passes a given threshold.

  • PUBLIC API Two new endpoints were deployed: getPeopleTags and getTeamsTags. These endpoints allow a client to retrieve tag information for multiple people and teams in one api call. See the API docs for more information.

  • STRATEGY - LIST Multiple refinements to the objectives list view.

    • Objectives now provide hyperlinks to the source systems the objectives are imported form.

    • Where data has been provided by the source system, a percentage process indicator will be show corresponding to the completeness of the objective.

    • The list view has been simplified for an uncluttered look.

  • STRATEGY - VISUALIZER Improved the graphical interface to provide enhanced visual clarity by focusing on selected teams and objectives and defocusing other items. This is beneficial when you have lots of teams, work and OKRs. We are continuing to refine this view so your input / feedback is appreciated, reach out if you have some feedback on how this view can be more user impactful.

  • STRATEGY PLANNER Several refinements to using objectives with team-centric planning.

    • Added objective type badges in Planner and the objective link screen. This provides users context to the level of an objective in their organisation e.g. Key-Result, Epic, etc.

    • The objectives in Planner can now be centrally configured to only show an explicit list of objective types. This provides users with a reduced set of objectives relevant to the team type in Planner they are operating on.

    • Removed a restriction of linking objectives in Planner. Previously users were not allow to link objectives to a team if there are any imported objectives against the same team. Now a team can be linked to objectives which are imported and linked within TeamForm.

  • TEAMFORM FOR JIRA PLUGIN The TeamForm for Jira app now respects your visual theme preferences in Jira, so if you were using Dark Mode in Jira, the TeamForm app will be visually consistent.

  • BUG Fix for layout issue with group access section on person details page.

  • BUG Fix for navigation tree incorrectly showing a expand arrow on teams that have no children.

  • PERFORMANCE Improvements have been deployed to speed up searching and navigating teams and people. Further improvements are in development.

    • update the team list to query for teams and types separately.

June 2024

  • STRATEGY VIEW A secondary view, List, has been added to Strategy. This perspective adds to the Visualizer graph view which enables easy exploration. The columnar presentation allows for easy analysis of a team’s connection to an organisation’s strategies and OKRs by team leaders.

  • INTEGRATIONS - improvements to TeamForm for Jira with the ability to bulk link TeamForm teams to Jira issues via an import capability, minimising the workload for Jira Admins before seeing relevant Jira issues in TeamForm. Also introducing the ability to filter issues relevant a customer’s current planning period.

  • SEARCH performance improvement with improved query speed when searching for people or viewing team principle results for all users.

  • REPORTING - additional data attributes in the Forecast feature are now available in reporting module for customer analysis by those users granted Reporting access.

May 2024

  • INFORMATION SECURITY GDPR completed for greater trust and transparency with customers, which include: (To learn more about TeamForm's posture, visit our Trust Center.)

    • Uplift in policies, procedures, staff training and overall compliance

    • Implemented the Record of Processing Activities (ROPA)

    • Improved cookie consent handling on the TeamForm website

  • SEARCH We've continued to invest in our search functionality so that it's easier to find what you're looking for:

    • UI refresh: switched theme from dark to light for header search results and improved the UI clarity around results

    • UI/UX improvements: better grouping and pagination for search results page

  • INTEGRATIONS Added Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) HCM integration, building on the common model introduced in April. As many enterprises use the Microsoft suite, this integration will provide an easy alternative to traditional HR systems to bring people information into TeamForm.

  • LOCALISATION As we continue to support customers in new markets, we continue to improve our localisation offering. This improvement focuses on the display currency, visible in the Planner or Forecast modules, when showing budget information.

  • OBJECTIVES TeamForm now supports unlimited depth of Objectives in an organisation. Layer and nest your objectives in terms that are native to you organisation: North Star, Objectives, Goals, Bets, Key Results, Initiatives, Epics, Milestones, et Al.

  • PRINCIPLES

    • New principle available: Timezone Overlap which checks that team members have at least a specified number of overlapped working hours.

    • Updated principle: Locality can now be configured to use either ‘city’ or ‘country’ in additional to previously possible ‘address’.  This is useful for testing whether all team members are in the same country.

    • Principles can now use a variety of colours: This is useful for introducing new principles where the default red colour is not appropriate; these could now be highlighted in a yellow instead to call attention but not alarm.

  • MEMBERSHIPS New feature in Planner allowing users to end the membership of multiple individuals from a team in a single operation.

April 2024

  • STRATEGY The new Strategy feature is now available, allowing teams to view their connection to strategy with the ability drill up and down on the connected strategy, work and teams.

  • INTEGRATIONS The TeamForm for Jira integration is now Cloud Fortified Status (an Atlassian certification).

  • INTEGRATIONS A connector to Bamboo HR for HCM data is now available.

  • INTEGRATIONS An updated Planview connector for Strategies and OKRs is available.

  • IMPROVEMENT Additional performance improvements to application load time and responsiveness.

March 2024

  • INTEGRATIONS TeamForm for Jira integration has been released on the Atlassian Marketplace, we expect to reach Cloud Fortified Status by May 2024

  • IMPROVEMENT Migration to single app has been completed simplifying the way TeamForm can be shared across users. To improve our speed of development, the directory has now been merged with the TeamForm app as a common experience, the experience is simplified to directory features only based on access profile.

  • IMPROVEMENT Significant performance improvements have been released

  • DATA RESIDENCY & REGIONS TeamForm now offer options for local data residency in Europe and American regions (in addition to APAC) for GDPR compliance.

  • API Swagger API docs are published at app.teamform.co/api-docs. For customers using a branded URL please access /api-docs to your customer URL or access via the Support icon within the app. For access to the API please raise a support request.

  • SERVICE STATUS Customers can now view our Service Status page for greater transparency and communication during incidents, key contacts have been subscribed for Email and SMS updates when incidents occur. Access the Service Status page to subscribe other members of your team as required.

  • ACCESSIBILITY We have released accessibility improvements to the TeamForm app experience to align towards WCAC 2.2 AA standard. We are now working with our external auditor to move towards formal certifications

  • TAGS Performance improvements have been made to tags navigation and tag details with high volumes of objects associated performance has been improved by 3x

  • FORECAST Visual improvements to the forecasting experience with clearer alignment of text and alerts

December 2023

  • ACCESSIBILITY We have released accessibility improvements to the directory experience aligning with WCAC 2.2 AA standards you will notice some slight changes in colours as part of this change, we are now working with our external auditor to move towards formal certification

  • FEEDBACK Introduced new pathways in the app to provide product feedback and access product release notes - to minimise cognitive load this may at times not be visible to all users but sample a portion of users

  • TAGS Introduced improvements to tags allowing tag attributes to be viewed by users without editing the tag. Tag performance optimised to improve load times.

  • GENERAL General improvements and minor fixes

November 2023

  • PLANNER & FORECAST Improved the performance of planner & forecast when working with large teams

  • OUTCOMES We have improved the structure of outcomes (sometimes called Objectives and Key Results) visualised on the team details page, previously we would structure by the linked element, in this release we preserve the hierarchy in the goal structure.

  • GENERAL The visualisation feature has been refactored using a new framework to improve performance
