What are the delta numbers in Planner?

The smaller numbers in purple used in the Planner view represent the difference between the baseline and the requested or approved values, depending on the column.

  • If the number is a negative then there is a decrease from the baseline and less full time equivalent has been requested or approved for that team.

  • If the number is a positive then there is an increase from the baseline and more full time equivalent has been requested or approved for that team.

  • If N/C is displayed then there is no change between the baseline and the requested or approved values.

An example in Planner displaying delta numbers in purple.

In the example above, the Squad 100 currently has a baseline of 9.8 FTE. It’s requested an increase up to 18.8 FTE, hence the delta number for that columns shows +9. This request hasn’t (yet) been approved, hence the delta number for that column shows N/C.
